Food and Scalars

Well, when you make a recipe you use numbers, and you might want to double the size of the recipe because several guests are coming over, and so you scale the recipe by doing Scalar Multiplication, using the scalar 2. We might use this to increase the number of pieces of bread that can be converted to French Toast using the following simplified recipe: “1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 2 tablespoons sugar, 4 tablespoons butter, 4 eggs, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla abstract,” It is claimed this will coat eight pieces of bread. As you can see, this recipe scales well when multiplied by 2 or 4, and I suspect a homeschool with a headmaster and four ravenous students will want to use a scalar of 4.
