“And men on the chessboard, get up and tell you where to go…”
We are assuming this is talking about men in an ordered set, shown below from least to greatest:
- Pawn
- Knight
- Bishop
- Rook
- Queen
Can we divide the studies leading to Tensors into five sections and each section gets a man from the chessboard?
The simplest path from start to finish is letting the man tell you what the rules are and believing him, mimicking him. You get passing grades on the tests actually more and more makes sense until one day you realize that you’ve actually fallen into a fairly complete understanding of it, and you can be happy about you knowledge.
Could it work this way? Probably only on a cartoon, because in real life you are a student who wants proofs and explanations for why things are what they are.
Can we help the men on the chessboard by having you go through a playground of games that prep you for the math that is to come?
