Coordinates

The word coordinate refers to the numbers used to describe a vector.

More technically, the coordinates of a vector are the projections of the vector onto the coordinate axes.

The verb to check probably qualifies as one of these Primitives that we’ve talked about. If we give you the vector (3, 4) You could tell yourself “project over 3 and then project up 4.”
