Linear Equations

We have seen two ways to write a general linear equation:

$a_1 x_1 + a_2 x_2 + ... + a_n x_n = b$

$a_1 x_1 + a_2 x_2 + ... + a_n x_n - b = 0$

We are deliberately NOT telling you what a,b and x are, other than that x’s are a something and a’s scale it to make aaxss something.
