Scalar Products

A scalar Product takes two vectors and makes a number.

[(3,0,0) \cdot (4,0,0)] = (3)(4) + (0)(0) + (0)(0) = 12 + 0 + 0 = 12

The Scalar Product can also be defined by the following formula:

[x \cdot y] = |x| \: |y| \: cos (\theta)
