Trigonometry is the study of relations between the angles and sides of a Triangle. We are particularly interested in Right Triangles because we see right triangle relationships in several laws of Physics.
The Law of Cosines relates angles and side lengths of a Triangle. If one of the sides is a right triangle then we can change the Law of Cosines to the Pythagorean Theorem.
