Vector Length

The calculation for the length of a two dimensional vector can be derived from the Pythagorean Theorem.

$l=\sqrt{x^2 + y^2}$

Any (x,y) vector can be used to make a triangle with a conponent on the x-axis and a component on the y-axis.
